The Special Education Team is comprised of teachers and paraprofessionals who provide instruction and support in general education classes, self-contained settings, and inclusion settings. The Standards of Learning (SOL's) tests are administered for grades 5 and 8 in all four content areas, as well as writing. Alternate and alternative assessments such as the Virginia Grade Level Assessment (VGLA) and Virginia Substitute Evaluation Program (VSEP) are also administered in this department.
